Audre Lorde illustration practice

minority it had a bad reputation to begin with.

concluding statement
what ways Mr.Escalante a good teacher and what ways he was a bad teacher
Escalante was a good teacher with how he pushed the students to succeed when everyone had already given up on them. one argument that Mr. Escalante was a bad teacher was when he didn’t pay attention to what the students had to say sometimes.

Malcom X's "Learning to read" and Unit 1
When I read the excerpt from The Autobiography of Malcolm X "Learning to read" I noticed relations between Malcolm X’s autobiography and the first unit.
Malcolm X’s writes how he was frustrated with his poor writing skills and so he decided to improve his skills by practicing his writing and learn new words.
When his skills in reading and writing improved Malcolm X was able to understand what was in books and a whole new world was opened to him. This is similar to Joshua in "How I Learned to Live Google-free" when he saw all of the other alternative search engines available to him instead of Google.
Malcolm X’s readings led him to the ignorance of the history of slavery in America. In "How I Learned to Live Google-free" Joshua talks about how people are ignorant of the other options instead of Google products due to the convenience that was provided.

Associate it: what can it be related it or connect it to
Swimsuits are related to many things. one is clothing and the protection it provides?... swimsuits can be connected to beaches and pools. swimsuits can be connected to fashion with swimsuit models of both genders. swimsuits in certain instances are considered optional. swimsuits can be associated with parties in aquatic conditions. swimsuits are used in water sports. swimsuits are associated to hot and sunny weather.
The first topic was a silly topic at first glance but with the comparative approach a poetic appearance can be formed while an argumentative approach led to a negative feeling that was against confetti.
I was surprised with the different attitude an argumentative response to a topic could be so different than a description or association. With the swimsuit topic a very strong point against objectification that swimsuits promoted. In the topic of confetti a point against the mess confetti makes and how difficult it was to clean was made. While it was surprising the argumentative approach proved to be the most interesting when talking about a well-known topic because people have their own opinions and would provide their response.

Different strategies were required when writing in different perspectives. if you wanted to describe it you focused on what it looked like and less about the issues behind it.
-This allows you to see different aspects of a topic.
-If you wanted to compare the subject you can relate it to different things and you can use the relations in a discussion.

What sorts of pre-writing have you used successfully in the past
In the past I have used many different forms of pre-writing, from filling out a outline to putting everything on paper and going back and fixing it. I found that I do not use any one form of pre-writing but a little bit from different kinds to achieve success. First I start with a mix of outline and spitting out words. involved writing out your basic ideas first in groups. Then I would go back and edit and form my thoughts into cohesiveness. with the main ideas split on their own I expand upon each of them with relevant information and adding secondary thoughts that were edited out. then the introduction and conclusion are written with highlights that allow a quick summary.
